Shaban Jafari (Persian: شعبان جعفری; 19 August – 21 March ), often known as Shaban the Brainless (Persian: شعبان بی‌مخ, romanized:&#;Sha'bān-e Bi-mokh) or Shaban the Crown-Bestower (Persian: شعبان تاجبخش, romanized:&#;Sha'bān-e Tājbakhsh), was an Iranian political activist and practitioner of varzesh-e bastani.

A controversial figure in Iranian politics, he was instrumental in overthrowing Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh's government in the Iranian coup d'état.^[1][2]
